Introduction to Epidemiology: A Summer Course

Schedule of Classes (Preliminary, Up-dated - July 21, 2009)

This page provides the current schedule for the summer course. It also lists the associated sections of the course textbook and provides links to powerpoint or similar material associated with each session. Several of these files are large (over 2 MB) and one is nearly 30MB!. Downloading over a slow Internet connection will take a long time. You will also need the course password in order to be able to access these files. Note that the Powerpoint slide are presented in PPS format: they automatically open in full screen mode and display the slide show.

Students will be able to pick-up their course materials at 0800 on Monday, August 17. The lectures will start at 0900 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday with a starting time of 0845 on Tuesday and Thursday. There will be nutrition breaks from 1030-1100 (1015-1045 on Tuesday/Thursday). An afternoon nutrition break will be from 1500-1530. The lunch break will be from 1230 to 1330 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday with the lunch break on Tuesday and Thursday (1215-1330) being used to show optional videos on practical applications of epidemiology. A pizza and soft drink lunch will be provided on the two video days. The course will conclude at 1500 on Friday.
